I’ve been wanting to touch on this Subject for quite sometime and now I finally get the chance to do it. Everyone knows about the thorn in all of our sides Frank McCourt and we all know he’s done worse than any of us can think of. First off the diviorce with his wife Jamie McCourt was the start of a long season in 2010. Litteraly the McCourts spent more on Lawyers than Pitchers to help the Dodgers become World Series Contenders and not to mention get rid of Juan Pierre who is the Best Base stealer in MLB and Randy Wolf. Then really losing it with your fans by rasing ticket prices to the point where some people have to take out loans. Now the Dodgers are in trouble finacially to the point where they may not make Payroll. Series in Los Angeles? A historic team like the Dodgers? That my friends is how bad things have gotten under McCourt. To the point where the MLB is about to take over.
My Final Straw came last season. Dodgers Yankees series remember. Why you had to buy a ticket package just to go to one series because they didn’t sell tickets individually? Seriously who does that? Not only did you show you don’t care about your Fans McCourt but now you showed MLB that your time as owner was pretty much over. I never thought I see the day where I half to Spend $30 dollars for two dodger dogs and water. Really $30 Dollars plus pay $55 Dollars each for my grandfather and I to sit in Lower Reserve and $15 Parking just to see the Dodgers? Do the math and you’ll see that way over what I have to pay just to see the Dodgers at AT&T Park or Angels Stadium. Then for me to sit there through out the season to see Manny quit halfway and the team slum and Broxton blow saves like hes doing now? Right Now Im one of the Millions of Dodger Fans you’ve ********** and I want you gone from OUR team that so many grew up with.
Frank McCourt has gotten under the skin of Dodger fans and now he wants to try and make peace with them but its too late. Under McCourt this season attendance is down than what it usally gets at Dodger Stadium and thats to the fact that Fans are fed up with him and ticket prices. Dodger Fans would fill up Dodger Stadium no matter what and now with this guy he changed that. I never thought I see this day come with the Dodgers and its owner situation but with Frank McCourt he managed to make it happen. The Boiling Point came last week when he came on Radio and blew nothing but hot air towards fans mainly falling on the Manny Ramierez trade and about himself and went on KTLA and talked about his personal life. My twitter feed went nuts about the Radio but on KTLA in the morning one of my twitter followers to go on a rampage on him but hit the Nail on the head. I Retweeted it because it was very true. The man gets on and worries about the press and his life and claims that he Loves this team but doesn’t show it. Doesn’t gives the team money to even compete, Raise Ticket prices and So on. He’s worse than Donald Sterling and the Maloofs and thats the NBA!
Point being is this Frank McCourt needs to sell the team or MLB needs to take the team and find a owner who CARES about the Team and its Fans. The Los Angeles Dodgers are a historic ball club with loads of talent but with an Owner who uses the money more on himself than the Team to field a World Series Contending team. Lets face It WE NEED A NEW OWNER!! Frank McCourt has rubbed so many people and fans the wrong way as an Owner blowing hot air going on the air to talk about his Personal life. In the Words of one of my Twitter Followers and Die Hard Dodger Fan TALK ABOUT BASEBALL! TALK ABOUT THE TEAM! Because you are showing that you don’t care about the team. Give the Team to a Owner who will do whatever to get this team back to the World Series Spend money on THE TEAM and care about the FANS! LEAVE OUR BOYS IN BLUE ALONE!!! Dodgers are my Life and I refuse to sit here and watch you ruin this team even more with your stupidity.
My first blog on here. I was going to talk about the Dodgers Owner Frank McCourt and how we need a new owner and so on but I want to talk about something that I feel that needs to be talked about. I’ve been going to Dodger games at Dodger Stadium since I was 7. (First time was 7th Birthday.) I love going to a game at Dodger Stadium and going every year makes it even more special. Today I read an article on the LA Times about how McCourts fall could mean the return of the NFL to LA. In there it mentioned a NFL Stadium being built in Chavez Ravine and making a brand new Dodger Stadium right next to Staples. This isn’t the first time Dodger Stadium was mentioned with an NFL Stadium but its basiclly been about extending the stadium or building right next to it.
Now yest Dodger Stadium is outdated and LA Times seems to like Angels Stadium better than Dodger Stadium but I am 100% against a new Dodger Stadium being built just to place a NFL Stadium in its place. Alot of Dodger fans will agree with me on this but None of us want a new Dodger stadium especially in Downtown LA. I want the NFL back as baddly as anyone else but Chavez Ravine is not the place for it. Chavez Ravine is a perfect place for it and thats why walter O’mally picked it. Theres no other place for Dodger Stadium that I can think of but building a new stadium just to place a NFL Stadium in its place is just plain stupid. The Dodgers draw a big crowd and theres really no parking for that many people. Another issue I have is that it Just won’t be the same. The Stadium will be alot smaller and condenced than Chavez Ravine and look at the new Yankees Stadium for example. Fans really don’t like the design of it and the seating is just killer.
There is a better way to upgrade Dodger Stadium without rebuilding and thats by renovating the Stadium. Theres already plans of upgrading the other areas of Dodger Stadium and enterance views but thats really about it. I think the Stadium needs a complete renovation and theres too many to list but I’m more for that than moving it. If you need a NFL Stadium built then take it to City of Industry or Downtown LA but Im not for a move or a Stadium right by it either because of parking. I know this topic will come up again in the future and that can be prevented with the renovation of Dodger Stadium but before any of that can be done we need a Owner that is willing to tackel these issues and once we have that happen the talk of moving Dodger Stadium will be here. Lets Say NO to a new Stadium in Downtown Los Angeles or Anywhere. Want a State of the Art Stadium…RENOVATE BLUE HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!
